RAKU 30 M CONCEPT BY GRAINGER DESIGN

The Raku 30 m is a concept designed by the Australian Multihull designer Tony Grainger. He has designed many sports, crusing catamarans and developped the Raku Concept.

The most impressive feature of the Raku range is the use of flat monocoquespanels for the hulls except for the bottom hull. The panels are made of composite and foam or grain balsa cores. The Raku 30 m is the largest of the range and features a biplane configuration with free standing composite wing masts. The advance of the mast is that it leaves the platform openswith a lots of living, entertaining and working space. This 30 meter catamaran can be built with flat panels or with a more traditional process. The design really is a concept open to the clients wishes. It is a base for reflexion. It can be addressed to a private owner wanting something different or a charter company.
