The Leopard 58 built by Roberston and Caine is amongst the Sail Magazine Best Boat Nominees for 2013.
Here is how the editorial staff describes the Leopard 58 :
"The biggest boat yet from this South African builder makes its world
debut this fall. It offers all the accommodations a cruising family
could conceivably need, with three levels of living space. A plethora of
options includes a six-cabin charter layout, and there are three
distinct outdoor living spaces. The sailplan
features a self-tacking
jib, a rarity on a catamaran but one that makes sense on a boat of these
proportions."
The new Leopard 58 was launched last month in Cape Town.
The first one, for Moorings, will be at the Annapolis Boat Show (October 6 - 8). It offers a 6 cabins layout : 2 in each hull, 2 on the bridge deck and 2 crew berths in the bows.
The first Private version Leopard 58 will be on display at the Miami Boat Show in February 2013. It offers 1 master suite in the full stardboard hull, 2 guest cabins on the port side and 2 crew forward.
