The next edition of the Multihull Boatshow will take place in La Grande Motte in the South of France, close to Montpellier. This is the press release I wrote for the organisation. After the September Yacht Shows, we will announce a news which will please luxury catamaran fan so stay tuned.
It is now official, the Mediterranean version of this great cruising multihull reunion will take place in La Grande Motte between the 14th and the 17th April 2011.
The boatshow organizers, Frédéric Morvant and Philippe Michel comment:
“We are delighted with the venue of La Grande Motte for this, the first Mediterranean edition in 2011. We had very strict guidelines and three towns offered to host the show. La Grande Motte met the most criteria. In fact, not only is it close to Montpellier International Airport and TGV station, but also the road and motorway networks are the most practical - There is a superb yacht harbour with numerous and luxurious hotels. Institutional bodies willing to promote nautical events and highly motivated and dynamic local teams have made La Grande Motte the preferred choice. The Atlantic version of the multihull show in Lorient was very successful and we wish to maintain this momentum. The scheme is the same, we will regroup all sectors of the multihull industry around a great international event, which is welcoming and inviting. However, we will offer visitors new animations and a larger diversity of exhibitors, the list of which we will publish during the coming weeks.”
Most exhibitors and stakeholders represented in Lorient in 2010 have already signed up for La Grande Motte. May we remind you that the first Multihull Boatshow attracted 12,000 visitors from all over the world, more than 55 multihulls were afloat and there were over 120 exhibitors. This event is the only one of its kind in the world.

Motor and sailing yachts; shipyards, charterers, shipchandlers, sailmakers, engine manufacturers, architects and stylists, insurance brokers and financing institutions... It is a unique occasion for amateurs and professionals, buyers and sellers from anywhere in the world to meet up. Alternating between an Atlantic and a Mediterranean venue enhances the international impact of this event.
