SUNREEF SCORES 3 NEW LUXUCATAMARANS 80 FEET AND ABOVE

The first contract was the Sunreef 82 Double Deck sold to a Client in the Middle East. It will be the second unit of Sunreef 82 Double Deck after last year’s HOUBARA. In the double deck concept there is one spacious owner cabin in the front and a large, bright salon with an internal helm station enjoying sea views. The impressive 64 m2 cockpit holds a large dining table for up to 8 guests, sunbathing mats, wicker armchairs and storage for diving equipment. This will be the first yacht in the world with a folding mast shortening it 10 m, so that it can easily go under the bridge leading to the Owner’s property. This yacht is due to be launched in December 2013. Thanks to their spaciousness and comfort, Double Deck catamarans are a perfect alternative for a traditional mega yacht with its greener character offered by cruising on sails.

Second in order is the 90 Sunreef Power, a true milestone in luxury catamaran design. The main idea behind the concept is to stress the superb space offered by catamarans thanks to their large beam, and to arrange this space in a similar way to motor yachts. On a 90 feet yacht no less than 522 sqm will be available for the owner’s enchantment, this is something that one could never have on a regular motor yacht. This means a single large main deck spanning the entire beam, housing dining and lounging areas in both the exterior aft deck and inside the saloon to create a seamless, open space. The generously-sized master cabin is located in the front on the same level with its study area, walk-in wardrobe, private ensuite bathroom, etc. The flybridge will include the helm station and two lounge areas (inside and outside), while the intimate terrace at the front of the main deck will comprise a jet ski with its crane and sun pads. An interesting feature is a beach club on the aft, created thanks to a special platform which gives access to all numerous water toys in the aft garage. Finished in cozy, warm interior design featuring only natural materials, this power mega yacht will operate in Thailand and will be delivered in the beginning of 2015.

The third sale is the second unit of the Sunreef 80 Carbon Line, a superb sailing catamaran with the concept based on light displacement of 45 tones, performance and speed. It will made of an advanced composite sandwich combining vinylester, PVC foam and carbon/glass fiber, with a carbon mast and boom. First unit of this model was just launched at the shipyard and already gained a lot of attention from the clients. The second unit is expected to launch in May 2014. Purchased by an American client, looking for his perfect carbon-made, performance yacht for the last two years all around the world before placing the order at Sunreef. The new Sunreef 80 will feature a beautiful master cabin on the main deck and a sophisticated navcom system.

Sunreef Yachts with its in-house design team will be present during the upcoming prestigious Monaco Yacht Show held between 25 - 28th of September 2013. You are welcome to visit our stand located in DARSE NORD, booth QD27. Besides these three new superyachts underway, the company will promote its new projects with mega trimaran 210 and a new 165 ft super sailing catamaran

SUNREEF OPENS A BRANCH IN CHINA - INTERVIEW OF LOCAL SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER EWA STACHURSKA

Sunreef Yachts is spreading its wings around the world. Strongly based in Europe, Sunreef has already opened a branch in the USA in 2009 and now in China. The office is managed by Ewa Stachurska, their talented former PR manager. Ewa, who speaks more than six languages and soon Chinese, is taking up the challenge with a lot of energy. She answered a few questions for us about this new promising market. Thanks for her time.

Sunreef China, Marketing and Sales Manager, Ewa Stachurska
Why did Sunreef open a branch in China ?
After a decade of a successful development in the world, especially in Europe and the Americas, and the opening of the US office in Ft.Lauderdale in 2009, the company judged necessary further expansion and this time towards Asia with a special stress on China and its immense potential. Certainly, this market is still immature and yachting is perceived more as a business-related activity helping to maintain professional relationships than pure pleasure or a hobby but it will pick up one day, and on that day Sunreef Yachts wants to make sure that all interested newly emerged enthusiasts will know what fantastic yachts the company has to offer. I can already observe an increasing interest in catamarans, and a curiosity towards a catamaran-yacht.
Plaza 66 Shanghai, Sunreef China Headquarters Office in Tower 2

Why did you choose Shangai ?
Shanghai is a visit card of the modern and international China, a China interested in novelties, progress, luxury and lifestyle. It is a base for most of medias and prestigious events. The city is an ever buzzing mixture of cultures, expectations and businesses and it is good to start here. We have established the office in Puxi in the upscale Jing'an district, the western part of the city where all major luxury brands are located. Since the opening of the office, we have been receiving many inquiries about our yachts from potential clients, media, brokers. The actual presence in China brings an immediate increase of interest.

Sunreef 70, Sunreef's yacht displayed for the Asian Market

Will you have a boat for display and where will it be docked ?
This year in a month's time we will have a new Sunreef 70 Sailing arriving to Hong Kong and then leaving directly for Sanya to take part in the prestigious Hainan Rendezvous held in the city resort, Sanya, on the Hainan Island, south of Kong Kong. Her permanent base will be a stunning Serenity Marina in Sanya. With this superbly finished yacht in oriental, modern design with red-blooded hulls, we will definitely gain a lot of attention at the show. She will be available for sea trials and a series of private cocktail receptions for VIPs has already been scheduled. This will also be the largest catamaran in China, but I hope that not for long, and we will be able to bring even bigger units within the next few years. I'm absolutely positive that large-sized catamaran-yachts with custom finish will have a bright future in China. The Sunreef 70 will certainly set a new turning point in the perception of a yacht among the Chinese Clients.

Hainan Rendez Vous

Which boat shows will you take part to in the coming year ?
Sunreef Yachts China will exhibit at the Hainan Rendezvous (30 March -2 April), Shanghai International Boat Show (11-14 April), Hong Kong Gold Coast boat show (10-12 May), Shenzhen International Boat Show in October, Xiamen International Boat Show in November and Sanya International Boat Show in December. Apart of the Shanghai boat show, held in land, we will exhibit the Sunreef 70 Sailing at all the shows.

You have been with Sunreef for 6 years as their PR manager, why heading the Asia office is a new challenge for you ?
It definitely is. It requires a lot of energy and work as the business environment is different than in Europe; there is a lot to learn about the beliefs, needs, priorities of the local Clientele but I have a big passion for this country and a very positive approach. I work with the Chinese team and it makes things much easier. Also, most of the people I meet, including our Chinese owners and Clients are very helpful and give most precious advices. Finally, Polish diplomacy with the Ambassador in Beijing and the Consul General in Shanghai lend us a lot of support and follow our activity with much interest. The presence of Sunreef Yachts in China is highly gratifying for the image of Poland abroad, not necessarily associated with the luxury and nevertheless being a leader in luxury catamarans custom made.

Sunreef Yachts keeps perfecting its revolutionary project of a motoryacht-catamaran, 85 Sunreef Power

Introduced officially at the Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes 2012, 85 Sunreef Power has already gained world-wide recognition and Clients attention.

Since then, Sunreef Yachts' in-house design office has been constantly working on improving the model to reach perfection and go ahead into the future as much as possible. The yacht's beam has been extended of 2 meters which increases the living area to 522m2. The main idea of the concept is to stress the superb space that catamarans offer thanks to their large beam and to arrange this space in the similar way as on motoryachts. This means one huge main deck spanning the entire beam and housing dining and lounging areas, in both exterior aft deck and inside the saloon that all together create a seamless, open space.

This space arrangement will certainly please the very demanding motoryacht clientele that can now enjoy their favorite motoryacht design and layout combined with catamaran advantages such as stability, comfort of cruising, low draft, low fuel consumption and oceanic range. Extended storage space within the Beach Club on the aft will now easily accommodate a tender for 9, diving equipment for 8 and 4 sea bobs so together with the spa pool on the flybridge this boat will be all about comfort and fun.

SUNREEF 90 ULTIMATE

After having introduced the Sunreef 80 in 2010 and the Sunreef 75 in 2011, Sunreef Yachts is now delighted to unveil the new model from the line, the Sunreef 90 Ultimate, a truly accomplished masterpiece that took more than 6 months for the design team to finalize.

The
Sunreef 90 Ultimate is a very light carbon, high-performance oriented superyacht which light displacement is only 55 T. Her sleek, marine hulls with reversed bow will allow her to enjoy 20+ knots speeds on sails even in light breeze with a safety and stability of a catamaran. A compact and minimalist superstructure will reduce air resistance.

For the first time, the flybridge will not be a typical leisure area but strictly dedicated to sails maneuvering and entirely covered by solar panels with a total area of 54sqm generating 8kW of power which allows for transparent ceilings in the saloon and master cabin. All supported on a honey-comb shaped carbon fiber super structure which becomes the main feature of the interior design.

It will house internal saloon with galley in the central part and the master cabin in the front section on the right. It will have a stunning, uncovered view over the sea through the vast glass wall and sliding doors giving access to the private outdoor area protected by two side walls of the superstructure. Master bathroom will be located down in the port side hull. Left front side of the superstructure will be dedicated to the navigation station. The port side hull will house one double guest cabin with en-suite bathroom and storage and one crew cabin in the aft. The starboard hull will comprise two double guest cabins with en-suite bathrooms and a service room with storage directly connected with the galley up on the main deck.

NEW 85 SUNREEF POWER

Sunreef Yachts Sets Another Milestone in Power Catamaran Design with the New 85 Sunreef Power

26 September 2012, Gdansk, Poland – Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2012, Sunreef Yachts continues growing in the catamaran design sector. Its in-house design office, employing young and talented designers, is located within the shipyard to make the design process smoother and more efficient. Following the introduction of the successful 70 Sunreef Power in 2008, and the launch of the 60 Sunreef Power in July 2012, the company has just unveiled in Cannes a brand new concept of a power catamaran with the 85 Sunreef Power, being another milestone in luxury catamaran design.

85 Sunreef Power

The main idea behind the concept is to stress the superb space offered by catamarans thanks to their large beam, and to arrange this space in a similar way to motoryachts. This means a single large main deck spanning the entire beam, housing dining and lounging areas in both the exterior aft deck and inside the saloon to create a seamless, open space. The generously-sized master cabin is located in the front on the same level. The flybridge will include the helm station and two lounge areas (inside and outside), while the intimate terrace at the front of the main deck will comprise a jet ski with its crane and sun pads.
85 Sunreef Power This space arrangement is certain to please demanding motoryacht clientele who will now be able to enjoy their favourite motoryacht design and layout combined with catamaran advantages such as stability, extensive living and storage space, comfort of cruising, low draught, low fuel consumption, and oceanic range. Design-wise, the 85 Sunreef Power is a modern-looking, streamlined vessel with a curvy line that makes her look like a truly sporty motoryacht. The interior design is light and minimalist with modular furniture on the main deck and the flybridge allowing many configurations, and built-in furniture to be installed within the hulls only.
85 Sunreef Power A beach club platform, typical of motoryachts, has been created on the aft. The platform will allow guests to be close to sea level at anchor and low speeds, and provides easy access to all water toys and tender stored in the aft dinghy garage. The project has already received serious enquiries, with the first contract expected to be signed within the next 3 months. Sunreef Yachts is presenting motoryacht lovers with an alternative solution to exclusive yachting with responsible fuel consumption.

500 TH POST SPECIAL GUEST SUNREEF'S PR EWA STACHURSKA

Sunreef Yachts has a very efficient PR manager, Ewa Stachurska.  Thanks to her, they are an important contributor to the luxury catamaran blog. For our 500 th post, I have asked Ewa to let me know what she and the Sunreef team think of the blog. Here is her answer. Thank you Ewa.

Ewa Stachurska - Sunreef PR manager
"Since the very beginning we appreciate that someone has thought of creating a website dedicated to luxury catamarans only. It just suited us so well! We tend to consult it on a regular basis to check all the recent news concerning the field of our activity from all over the world. Researching google for " luxury catamaran" phrase isn't as helpful as consulting luxurycatamaran.blogspot that has the most updated and complete information on luxury catamarans uploaded quickly after released from builders/designers. At Sunreef Yachts, most of our team is subscribed to the website and enjoy receiving regular mailings on what is new as we need to keep our eyes open on potential competitors, although must confess that there seem to be no other shipyard as Sunreef, focused only in large-sized luxury cats, and building so many of them yearly. Luxury catamarans needed to have their own independent editorial website and luxurycatamaran.blogspot clearly shows us all that there is a lot of things going on in this niche market, still underestimated by some major yachtbuilders. We will definitely keep sending our info over hoping that more and more readers will join the blog and spread the greatness of catamarans worldwide."

SUNREEF SUCCESS BY THE NUMBERS

I went on Sunreef website and counted the luxury catamarans launched by size since the founding of the yard.

Here are the results :
  • Sunreef 58 : 3
  • 60 Sunreef Power : 1 just launched
  • Sunreef 62 : 27 most successful so far
  • Sunreef 70 : 8
  • 70 Sunreef Power : 7
  • Sunreef 74 : 1
  • Sunreef 82 : 1 just launched
  • Sunreef 102 : 1
  • Sunreef 114 : 1
To those, you have to add 4 units that were kept secret to the owners request.  It is kind of odd to add the numbers since a Sunreef 58 is really much smaller than a Sunreef 114 but if you do it adds up to 54 catamarans which is a lot since the first in 2003.  But the most impressive is the size of the catamarans which has really increased.

Congratulations to their team.

Sunreef Yachts explores superyacht segment with three new 80+ luxury catamarans

After the successful launch of the two catamaran-superyachts over 100 feet, CHE and IPHARRA, in 2010, Sunreef Yachts keeps developing large projects with and for its clients. Within the next two weeks the shipyard will launch the new model, the Sunreef 82 Double Deck starting a series of 80ft composite superyachts. The next one to be launched is the Sunreef 80 Single Deck scheduled for March 2013. And finally, the new project of an 85ft motoryacht catamaran, the 85 Sunreef Power, has just been developed by the Sunreefs in-house design office and should be completed by the end of 2013.

Sunreef 82 Double Deck

The everlasting stylish look of the Sunreef 82 Double Deck is the result of Sunreef’s advanced design technologies and ongoing research into new solutions and inspirations. In the double deck concept there is one spacious owner cabin in the front, and a large and bright salon with an internal helm station with sea views. That is why this model is a perfect alternative to a traditional motoryacht which consumes tremendous amounts of fuel. The Double Deck catamarans have a chance to become superyachts of the future with their comfort on board and low fuel consumption resulting from its low draft and the possibility of cruising on sails in keeping with the maximum stability at all times.
This private yacht accommodates up to
7 guests in one beam-wide owner suite, one VIP queen cabin and one guest twin cabin convertible to a double cabin with an additional Pullman bed, attended by two crew to assist the owner, a sailor himself.
An innovative element aboard the Sunreef 82 DD is the smart mezzanine floor housing a coffee table within a lounge area located on the starboard side of the main deck within the dining area. There is also a purpose-built storage area for painting equipment, as the owners enjoy this activity while sailing. The owner suite, arranged over two floors, is set to occupy the entire forward section of the yacht with a master cabin, Jacuzzi and vanity on the main deck, and wardrobe and floor-to-ceiling storage and bathroom located below decks in port and starboard hulls
respectively. Guest cabins are generously sized with three way access to a queen size bed with spectacular sea views through 6-part large windows, and have a separate bathroom and shower, spacious wardrobe, several lockers, a compre- hensive entertainment system and air conditioning. Interior design has been customised following the owners’ suggestions, and combines light and natural colours and materials finished in a classic style. The impressive 64 m2 cockpit holds a large dining table for up to 8 guests, sunbathing mats, wicker arm- chairs, a flower area, and storage for diving equipment. The spacious flybridge is fitted with the main helm station, bar with barbecue and ice maker, large dining table and comfortable deckchairs, as well as a coffee table.

Sunreef 80 Single Deck

The Sunreef 80 Single Deck is a dramatically different concept than S82DD, based on light displacement, performance and speed. The Sunreef 80 is intended for owners who wish to enjoy fast sailing adventures without giving up the comfort and fully customized interiors. Commissioned by a European owner, the Sunreef 80 will be made of an advanced composite sandwich combining epoxy-vinylester resin, PVC foam, glass fibre with carbon reinforcement for the hulls and carbon fibre for the deck and the superstructure, with a carbon mast and boom, standing rigging with Kevlar and
total sail area of 340 m2, weighing just 45T lightship and 60T fully loaded. Sunreef’s engineering office produced a special weighing platform that will register all additional weight of the boat. All systems will also be optimized to minimize their weight. The sleek and sporty exterior line was designed carefully to reduce windage and water resistance. The yacht is designed to comfortably accommodate 9 guests and 4 crew. The portside hull will comprise one guest cabin with a bathroom, a fully equipped galley and 4 crew cabins. The starboard hull will feature one guest and one children’s cabin, both
with private en-suite bathrooms, and the owner’s dressing room and bathroom directly accessible from the master suite on the main deck. For the first time on a Sunreef single deck catamaran, the owner suite (17m2) will be located on the main deck. This means that the internal cockpit will include the navigation station, dining area, lounge zone and the owner suite on the front starboard. The interior design will represent a modern and minimalist style based on white and grey with touches of a fresh blend of strong, modern colours.

85 Sunreef Power NEW DESIGN 2013

After having introduced the very successful 70 Sunreef Power in 2008, the company is now introducing a Brand New concept of a power superyacht with the 85 Sunreef Power, being another milestone in the luxury catamaran design. The generously sized master cabin is located
in the front on the same level. The flybridge will include helm station and two lounging areas (inside and outside) while the frontal intimate terrace on the main deck will comprise Jacuzzi and sun pads. Guest cabins with private bathrooms and crew quarters with direct access to the galley and storage will be located within the hulls. This space arrangement will certainly please the very demanding motoryacht clientele that can now enjoy their favorite motoryacht design and layout combined with catamaran advantages such as stability, extended living and storage space, comfort of cruising, low draft, low fuel consumption and oceanic range.
Design wise, the 85 Sunreef Power is a modern looking, streamlined vessel with a curvy line that makes it look like a truly sporty motoryacht. Interior design is meant to be light and minimalist with modular furniture on the main deck and on the flybridge allowing many configurations whereas the built-in furniture one will be installed only within the hulls. On the aft, an interesting solution was found to create a beach club platform, typical for motoryachts. This platform will allow guests to stay down by the sea level at anchor and at lower speeds and will make easy accessing all water toys and tender stored in the aft dinghy garage.

SUNREEF AT THE CANNES INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW - NEW BOATS

Gdansk, Poland – As every year, Sunreef Yachts will display its much-awaited news during the prestigious Cannes Boat Show in September 2012.

Celebrating its 10 years, the company will showcase two new Premiere Models: the 60 Sunreef Power EWHALA and the superyacht Sunreef 82 Double Deck HOUBARA. In addition, two famous and appreciated models: the 70 Sunreef Power SKYLARK (2012) and the Sunreef 70 Sailing ANINI (2011) will be exhibited as well, which means 4 yachts all together. That is the biggest yacht display for Sunreef Yachts in its history.

60 Sunreef Power - EWHALA

The 60 Sunreef Power was made in response to the growing demand for compact yet highly impressive powerboat. This yacht has all the features of the popular 70 Sunreef Power, except its 27.8 ft / 8.5 m beam that makes it more convenient for crowded marinas, especially in the Mediterranean. It is also an interesting alternative for traditional motoryachts with much lower fuel consumption, long range, superb living space with the best comfort and intimacy for the owner and his guests, customized interior design and stability.
EWHALA (launch end July)has been commissioned by a European owner, and is laid out in a semi-owner version with two double cabins in the forward section, two double cabins in the starboard hull, and one double, one bunk-bed cabin (for the crew) in the port hull. The interior of the main deck features the galley and a dining area, while a mezzanine floor located in the midship comprises internal helm station and lounge, providing access to the forward guest cabins.
The spacious sun deck, Sunreef’s speciality and trademark, accessible from the cockpit, houses external helm station, wet bar with barbecue, dining area and a huge sun pad, ideal for outdoor lounging in the sun. The innovative JMS boat control system by ZF Marine Electronics Group, allowing the boat to be easily maneuvered with a joystick, has been installed aboard EWHALA. The interior design is modern and minimalist, based on wenge and oak contrast, finished with gray and white upholstery and brushed stainless steel details.

82 Sunreef Double Deck - HOUBARA

The Sunreef 82 DD HOUBARA (launch end July) is the second double decker catamaran after IPHARRA. In this double deck concept there is one spacious owner cabin in the front, and a large and bright salon with an internal helm station with sea views. That is why this model is a perfect alternative to a traditional motoryacht which consumes tremendous amounts of fuel. The Double Deck catamarans have a chance to become superyachts of the future with their comfort on board and low fuel consumption resulting from its low draft and the possibi-
lity of cruising on sails in keeping with the maximum stability at all times. This private yacht accommodates up to 7 guests in one beam-wide owner suite, one VIP queen cabin and one guest twin cabin convertible to a double cabin with an additional Pullman bed, attended by two crew to assist the owner, a sailor himself. An innovative element aboard the Sunreef 82 DD is the smart mezzanine floor housing a coffee table within a lounge area located on the starboard side of the main deck within the dining area. There is also a purpose-built storage area for painting
equipment, as the owners enjoy this activity while sailing. The owner suite, arranged over two floors, is set to occupy the entire forward section of the yacht with a master cabin, Jacuzzi and vanity on the main deck, and wardrobe and floor-to-ceiling storage and bathroom located below decks in port and starboard hulls respectively. Interior design has been customised following the owners’ suggestions, and combines light and natural colours and materials finished in a classic style.

70 Sunreef Power - SKYLARK

Scheduled for launch in August 2012, SKYLARK is the hull nr 8 of the very successful yacht model, the 70 Sunreef Power, introduced in 2008. The yacht is laid out in the owner version with a beam-wide owner suite in the forward section and four double cabins in the hulls: one VIP and two double for the guests and one double for the crew. Beautiful interior design takes its inspiration from the superyacht Sunreef 114 CHE and mixes caramel bamboo wood with pearl gray upholstery, aquamarine table tops and decorative elements such as cushions and wall panels. General ambience is thus very relaxing and enjoyable.

Sunreef 70 - ANINI

Launched in November 2011, ANINI is the 7th unit of the Sunreef 70 Sailing successfully completed by the Sunreef Yachts shipyard. Sold to an American client for private use with some chartering activity, ANINI will spend the coming winter in southern Portugal before starting her Summer 2012 cruise in the Mediterranean, the sea that the owner wishes to explore
as much as possible. ANINI is arranged in the owner layout version with the master suite and one guest cabin in the portside hull and two guest (one with bunk beds) and one crew cabin in the starboard hull. The master suite includes a double bed with night tables, an extendable sofa, work desk, TV and DVD, and plenty of storage for long cruises.
ANINI’s interior design shows clear references to the Sunreef 114 CHE with the choice of caramel bamboo wood applied to all wooden furniture, door and window frames, and decorative ceiling panels. Turquoise sofas and armchairs with wall and ceiling panels complete the bamboo finish in a very natural way, creating a relaxed, marine ambience inside.

SUNREEF YACHTS TRAVEL BLOG

Sunreef Yachts has launched last year a blog "Sunreef Yachts Travel Blog" about traveling and passage making aboard luxury catamaran (sunreef's of course). In this blog you will find news of Sunreef Yachts sailing all around the world.
