BERMUDA 77 BY SCHIONING DESIGN

I already introduce the Bermuda 77 in my blog in a previous post in October 2010. It is now well advanced. Here are some pictures of this beautiful Schioning Design.

G-FORGE 1700 BY SCHIONNING DESIGNS - SAILING CATAMARAN

Schioning Designs is very active. In their design range, the G-Force sailing catamarans stand out as fun world cruising catamarans with a lot of muscles.


After launching the first G-Force 1400 a 1500 came out of the drawing boards and now a really fast luxury catamaran : the G-Force 1700. It is in its preliminary design stage. It features reverse bows, dagger boards, and is built using light but mid-tech materials not to over-load the price. Displacement is forecasted to be only 8000 kg, this is very light for a 17 meter cat with a 142 m² sail area. The interior design can be adapted to the owner's wishes and program.

The Bermuda 77 is a Schionning Design built in South Africa. I can't believe I missed this one.

The Bermuda 77 was created to cruise around Bermuda and the surrounding waters of the US East Coast and the Caribbean. It was developped by the Kempe family, the owners of the Bermuda Yacht Company. They got in touch with Schionning Design in 2008 and Justin Kempe moved to South Africa in 2009 to follow the building at Custom Marine. The Bermuda 77 looks really nice with its dagger boards, reverse bows and agressive design. It should be quite fast on the water. As you can see in the pictures this amazing catamaran is well advanced and should be launched next year and then available for sale and charter.
