GUNBOAT 60 is now sailing!

  

The new Gunboat 60 MOONWAVE has launched and is sailing. Simply put, she is sensational. The new Nigel Irens design smoothly accelerates through the speed range and has noticeably less motion than our earlier market leading designs. The hull shape features a dramatic reduction in windage which helps her impressive upwind speeds, and makes docking easier. The chine has produced a much drier deck and forward cockpit. Enter the interior, and prepare yourself for a level of design and finish previously reserved for the superyacht crowd. Her cabin spaces feature large windows and great views. You will forget you are below on a catamaran. The systems are another story and feature some groundbreaking innovations. You will have to come see and sail to learn more!

GUNBOAT 55 takes flight

We have gone from zero to 55 in just a few months in our new Wanchese, NC facility. The first all carbon Gunboat 55 is out of the mold, and the shape is stunning. The fiber content of 65% in the skins approaches the highest aerospace standards. The weights are coming in at or below our weight calculations. The all black structure looks like it is ready to leap off its cradles and hit the water. You are invited to come tour the Gunboat USA facility and see this impressive series.  

BOAT SHOW TIME

Gunboat will show the gorgeous Gunboat 66 SUGAR DADDY at both the Annapolis Boat Show October 4-8, and the Ft Lauderdale Boat Show October 25-29. A Gunboat usually steals the show, and long lines form to get aboard. NIGEL IRENS Visit

  

Our designer Nigel Irens paid a visit this week to Gunboat's new US facility in Wanchese, NC. The first 55 came out of the mold just days before his arrival. He had this to say about the progress Gunboat has made in the past few months, "You can feel and see the energy in this facility. The 55 looks terrific and really seems to strike a chord in the marketplace. This is the one area in the market that is showing growth. We're really excited to be playing a role." As the creator of the ORMA 60 class and several solo round the world record tris, we are honored to have Nigel as a key player on our team.

GUNBOAT CLASS - CARIBBEAN SEASON 

Harvey Jenkinson, the Captain of the Gunboat 66 TIGER LILY, has taken the lead role of organizing the GUNBOAT CLASS at the Heineken Regatta Feb 28-Mar 3 in St Maarten. He is working with the other Gunboats to set conditions, and get the fleet weighed and measured for even more accurate ratings with the CSA. As many as seven GUNBOATs are expected at the Heineken Regatta. 

 

 

NEW WEBSITE

We are clearly passionate about our Gunboats, and sometimes the focus is solely on our product. The website is now fully updated, so you will see some of the excitement around here conveyed. We will be updating it more regularly. Please feel free to email pictures of Gunboat sightings, or any input!
